Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 June 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Financial Dayscanner handles your personal information when you use our website and service. By using Financial Dayscanner, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

Financial Dayscanner (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at dayscanner.com.my, a calendar that tracks public holidays and market closures across global financial centers. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and, where available, your name. If you sign in with Google, we receive the basic profile information that Google shares with us (name and email).
  • License key. The license key you enter to activate access, and the date it was activated.
  • Preferences.Your in-app settings, such as the markets you follow and display options. These are stored in your browser’s local storage and are not sent to us.
  • Technical data. Standard server and request logs (such as IP address and browser type) generated automatically by our hosting and authentication providers.

3. How we use your information

  • To create and authenticate your account.
  • To validate your license and provide access to the calendar.
  • To operate, maintain, and secure the service, including preventing abuse.
  • To respond to your enquiries and provide support.

4. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the service. Your data is processed by them only as needed to deliver the service:

  • Supabase: authentication and database (stores your account and license records).
  • Google: optional sign-in via Google OAuth.
  • Vercel: application hosting and delivery.
  • HolidayAPI: third-party holiday data. We send country/market codes to retrieve holiday dates; we do not send your personal data.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage that are necessary for the service to work, for example to keep you signed in, remember your chosen color scheme, and cache calendar data for faster loading. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

6. Data retention

We retain your account and license information for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal data except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent at any time by closing your account. To exercise these rights, contact us at enquiry@dayscanner.com.my.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International transfers

Our providers may process and store data in countries outside your own. Where this happens, we rely on those providers’ safeguards to protect your information.

10. Children

The service is intended for professional and adult users and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.

12. Contact us

If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email us at enquiry@dayscanner.com.my.
